Preston Steen, MD is currently a Clinical Research Scientist for Sanford Research. He is based at Sanford Health Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo, ND. Prior to this he was a Medical Oncologist for more than 30 years at Roger Maris. He is the Principal Investigator (PI) for Sanford’s NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) grant since 2003. Dr. Steen has been Community Co-PI on several national cancer clinical trials, as well as a co-investigator on Cancer Translational Research (NCI CTR) awards with investigators from North Dakota State University. During his career he has served full terms on the NCI Symptom Management and Quality of Life Steering Committee, ASCO’s Cancer Research Committee and is currently a member of the NCI Renal Cancer Task Force. Dr. Steen has been passionately involved with cancer clinical research throughout his career.
